Foundation 2008

Hello, I'm Michael Julings, 1st year illustration student at University College Falmouth, Cornwall. Thought I'd jump aboard the bumbly blogging beast and see if it was at all nice.
Lovely to be being read by you, whoever you are, hope you like it too.

Last year i finished my foundation year in Falmouth. Just thought I'd post a few examples of work I did last year for starters.

These drawings are taken from 'The Racsaga Dam', a storybook i wrote and illustrated for my foundation final project. The story is influenced by Rudyard Kipling's 'Just So Stories', but instead of animals, tells of how the island of Madagascar was created. Set 20 million years ago, it involves a group of pygmy hippos who are tricked into eating too much just before their annual trampoline competition, chaos ensues.

This is a seamonster.
